Farrell announces funding for additional citywide incident coordinators
Farrell says the city can always communicate better and announces that NYCEM received city tax levy funding in July for 10 additional citywide incident coordinators and five part-time coordinators. She says the added resources will help but does not promise NYCEM can respond to every incident.
Yeah.
So, I mean, I think, you know, we can always do a better job of communicating.
You know, one thing I am happy to say is that.
We actually in July received funding for
10 additional citywide incident coordinators, city tax levy funding, and for five part-time citywide incident coordinators because we do have people that are retired and would like to come back.
And so that will greatly increase our resources because, again, if we have three people working citywide,
You know, that gets very, you know, they get very busy very quickly.
So we are excited to have these additional resources.
And then as they are in place, we could potentially explore.
But I don't want to promise that we can be involved in every one of these incidents when we are really coordinating for those larger incidents.
Thank you.
