Williams calls for EMS pay retention and a Rockaway trauma hospital
Williams says the July 25 emergency showed gaps even beyond climate-related events and attaches himself to calls for higher EMS pay to improve retention. He also says the Rockaways need a trauma hospital and that response times there remain problematic.
And as you can hear, obviously, this emergency stemmed even when there is not climate-related emergencies.
And I just want to attach myself to the words that
talk about EMS, that they definitely need more pay so we can have retention.
It's really important.
And the need for a trauma hospital in Rockway, as they have been asking one for a long time, and the response time there as well has been problematic.
Thank you very much.
