Hankerson asks what factors shut down events
Hankerson asks what factors cause Parks to shut down an event. Cerrone says weather is most common, citing the canceled Global Citizens event, and says Parks works with OEM, NYPD, and CECM and requires large events to have a meteorologist.
How often are PEP officers or park rangers assigned to work events?
Thank you for that question.
As I had mentioned, the vast majority of our permits, 75% are less than 100 people, 95% are less than 500 people.

Thank you.
No, I mean, just to add for the very large-scale events, they all have to provide private security, and those private security companies have to work with NYPD to create a robust security plan.
Interesting.
What are the most common reasons that the department has typically denied applications?
Thank you for that question, Council Member.
I think the most common reason, I know, I believe actually we are following up with your office as one of the items, I think, on the denials.
But I think it's probably the most common reason would be the location and just that, like,
