Farías commits to uplift state and court issues raised by survivors
Farías promises to raise statute of limitations, family court, and district attorney matters with state officials. She thanks the panel and says she appreciates expanded DOVE flexible funds and will uplift that to the Speaker's finance team.

I do want to, just my last two notes before I excuse you folks, there are issues that are being elevated in this hearing that are out of the city's jurisdiction that you have my commitment to uplifting
to the state officials and to our district attorneys, the folks that are relevant on those jurisdictional matters, whether it's statute of limitations or some of our family court custodial issues, I will absolutely uplift those.
And I'm really happy to hear the expanded dove funds and the flexibility that it allows.
I was a part of the team in my first four years in the council to fight for those expanded dove dollars for council members and the offices impacted.
We created a tier system for those that are unfortunately most impacted or receiving more funds to allow our groups flexibility.
So I appreciate hearing that and knowing that.
And I will uplift that also to the speakers team in the finance division.
