Farías questions title changes for executive directors and deputies
Farías asks whether six executive director titles and four deputy commissioner titles at NGBV will change. Delany-Brumsey says OCS is reviewing titles across the combined offices and has not made decisions, aiming to reflect seniority and expertise.
And then just to...
Similarly to what the speaker was asking about commissioners at these title change will go to executive director once the office officially moves to the Office of Community Safety.
According to some reports, there are approximately six executive director titles across NGBV that are now reporting to the commissioner.
Will the existing executive director titles change as a result of the commissioner becoming an executive director?
And then additionally, there are four deputy commissioners within NGBV.
Are those titles also going to change?
Yeah, thank you for that question.
The combination of the offices under OCS means that there's lots of different titles because each office had its own title structure.
And so the title differences do not just impact NGBV, they impact the entire Office of Community Safety.
We're engaged in a process right now to look across our team to see what makes sense in terms of making sure we have titles that reflect the seniority, the expertise, and that allow people to do the work they continue to do.
We have not made any decisions because we are making sure that we are doing this carefully and assessing how titles.
Will continue to broadcast the seniority, expertise, and influence that are both the leadership and the rest of the team has.
