Turner argues for lowering state and city reporting thresholds
Menin asks whether California and RAISE Act thresholds should be lower. Turner says yes, arguing a billion-dollar damage threshold is too high and that the city should at least be privately informed of internal rogue swarms.
When you mentioned the California Act and then in addition to New York, we obviously have the RAISE Act.
Should those standards be lower before they kick in?
Yes, I think they should.
I'm most familiar with the California Act, and I think it was a good start, but it's certainly, you know, a billion dollars of damage is too high for informational purposes like this.
We've got basically one of the quantities we want to understand as precursors to these catastrophic risks is, are these companies even able to
to control and understand their own systems.
If they're on the loose internally and there's these swarms that are doing who knows what, that's something that the city should at least privately be informed of.
Now, Mr.
Kokotayo, you had mentioned two policy recommendations.
