Chair Gutiérrez asks about contract rates for FCCs
Gutiérrez asks about contract rates for family child care providers. Liss confirms the rates include provider payment and network costs, with a standard rate for providers.
So I know I had asked earlier about the contract rate.
I do have some of the numbers that were shared in the executive plan, I think.
I just want to understand, so for the FCCs, and you can, I don't know if you have these numbers in front of you, Emmy,
but for 2K school day, FCC's contract rate was a little over $19,000, and for 2K extended day was a little over $29,000.
Do these numbers also include the payment that the FCC ends would be receiving from the DOE?
Yes, and the way the rates work for a family child care network is a portion of the rate, the vast majority of it is for the provider.
They cannot alter that rate.
That is the standard rate for the provider.
And then a smaller portion on a per child basis is what funds the network costs.
Okay.
And does that percentage change?
That's not a flat percentage for the network, or it is?
It is, yeah.
So every network.
Yes, and we can get those numbers, the exact percentage for you.
Okay, wonderful.
