Chair Gutiérrez asks about network funding if no cost
Gutiérrez asks how networks are funded if they don't charge providers. Phillips says the city provides funding for network administrative costs and child care costs.
And then for this next, the 2027, 2028 school year, how are you, what are the steps you are taking now for 2K expansion into Staten Island?
So on Staten Island, we prioritized for school year 2026, 27, bringing more capacity online for 3K, which has allowed us to bring additional providers into the contracted system.
Similar to what the team did this past year to expand, we will both look to existing contracted providers who already work with the city as well as new providers to bring them into the program.
And particularly, we'll be working with our family child care networks to bring family child care providers on Staten Island into the program.
Okay.
Thank you.
