Chair Gutiérrez asks about temporary housing enrollment

New York City Council · Oct 7, 2026 · starts 1:01:58 · 26 sec

Gutiérrez asks how many 2K children are in temporary housing. Phillips says that data will be available with enrollment numbers later.

Jennifer Gutiérrez

Can I just, DC, can I just ask?

Jennifer Gutiérrez

For you to clarify on the students living in temporary housing.

Jennifer Gutiérrez

I'm not sure.

Jennifer Gutiérrez

I know that Councilmember Joseph had raised that question.

Jennifer Gutiérrez

Do you have a sense of how many of the children that are enrolled in the 2K program are in temporary housing right now?

Erica Phillips

Similarly, that'll be data that we'll be able to share when we share our enrollment numbers with the other grades.
