Liss reflects on first day and lessons learned
Liss notes that 2,002 two-year-olds started 2K on September 10th and that the city will take valuable lessons from year one as it expands.
On September 10th, the whole city was watching as our first 2,002-year-olds walked into their classrooms and programs to begin a year of learning, play, and growth.
There is much to learn from this first cohort of 2K children and providers.
We know that we will take valuable lessons from year one and apply them as we continue to expand and strengthen the program.
I will now turn it to my colleague and partner, Deputy Chancellor for Early Childhood Education, Erica Phillips, who will speak to how 2K is working on the ground and what's next.
