Winter recounts pedicab confiscation for electric assist

Just to give you one more example, July 8th of this year, I was finally targeted for the electric assist on my pedicabs.

I happened to have both pedicabs with me because I rented a bike out to a movie.

I have a second pedicab that I never use.

I only have it as a backup.

And I rented it to the movie, and I happened to pick it up that day from the movie set, and I happened to have them both with me.

It's around 11 p.m.

That night.

I was having some pizza on 54th Street and 7th Avenue, and one of the units rolled up on me.

And despite, even though I was stopped earlier that day by a different unit, I basically, every time that it happens, I gladly provide my license, provide my insurance certificate, I provide my

inspection certificate that I have a copy of with me, a hard copy just in case, and provide them all of that.

And basically they said to me, thank you very much for following the law, have a nice day.

But the second unit took me because of the electric assist.

And because of this, even despite that I provided all of my information, everything was completely on par, they took my bike and I lost about 20 days of work, which was a major hardship for me.

Because I'm a single father and I support not only my daughter, but her grandparents who take care of her.

And so it's put me in a major position right now that I'm still trying to recuperate from.

And so it's, you know, it's really hard for someone like myself who I do everything to make sure that when all my customers, it's always I agree.

You agree, we go when it comes to pricing and when it comes to being completely transparent about everything that I do.

But for me to get hit in this manner is kind of really tough, knowing that, you know, during the stop, I saw five ripoff guys passing by with victims underway to getting ripped off.

And they seem to continue to operate.
