Council Member Banks Honors Mighty Sparrow

And also, with the remainder of my time, I want to take this time to give condolences and recognition to the mighty, mighty Sparrow.

In his recent passing, we know him as the slinger Francesco, at the current Trinidadian serving the New York City Council.

It was a major loss that hit especially close to home.

Like some, many Trinidadians and to Bogonians, members of the Caribbean community who grew up to Mighty Sparrow's music all around me, family, friends, gatherings.

We know how important his life was to Calypso, especially in the Caribbean and here throughout the United States.

So again, our condolences to his family and to all the Caribbeans here in New York City.

Thank you.

Thank you, Councilmember.

Councilmember Wilson, followed by Councilmember Santuoso.
