Sanchez responds to Bialik and honors Young Lords Garbage Offensive
Sanchez thanks Bialik for raising East Harlem and connects her testimony to the Young Lords' Garbage Offensive. He says the disparities persist and urges continued attention to environmental justice communities.
Thank you so much for your testimony.
And thank you for bringing up East Harlem.
You know, speaking about all of this, also, I want to shout out the Young Lords and the Garbage Offensive in East Harlem.
Years later, we are still seeing the disparities.
If you go up a few blocks on Madison Avenue, what is happening to our communities?
So the more that we can talk about our environmental justice communities and what we face and the fights that we've had from our four sisters and brothers beforehand to please continue uplifting.
So shout out to the Young Lords and the Garbage Offensive.
