Outar outlines training goals and career pathway development
Outar says DCAS is identifying additional vendors, building better pathways into HR and IT training, and expanding virtual, in-person, and asynchronous options in the spring catalog.
In terms of our training goals, we are, one of the things that...
We do within the learning and development unit is a we're looking to see how can we make the training more accessible to individuals how can we collect feedback on what trainings what they're seeing what's working for them what's not and then looking at ways that we can engage other um
other sort of trainings that's where there's a gap so right now we're in the process of identifying additional vendors that we can use to provide more trainings to individuals so um for the
fall for the spring catalog that's coming up we're looking at how we can create better pathways into training.
So individuals who are maybe they're interested in taking on going into, let's say, HR path or an IT path, they'll have an idea in terms of what kinds of training they'll need to take in order to get there.
So we're really looking at, yes, we always want to increase.
We always want to make sure that we have, you know,
enough people that are aware of the trainings and are taking part in that, but we're also looking at the diversity of the training, the flexibility of the training.
Are we offering virtual trainings, in-person trainings?
We're also looking into trainings where folks can be, it's more asynchronous, so they are not necessarily tied to a nine to five, well, being at the center for a nine to five.
