Aldebol asks how DCAS gathers agency training needs
Aldebol asks whether DCAS gets feedback from agencies on training needs; Outar describes listening sessions with vendors, agency partners, and employees, plus agency-specific supervisory training.
And do you also get feedback from the individual agencies as to what needs they have in terms of, you know, a trained workforce that they need to promote within or
move into certain positions?
Yes, so one of the things that I did when we came into the role was do listening sessions with our vendors, with our agency partners, as well as the city employees, and kind of take into consideration what they were seeing and what they weren't seeing.
And so that has helped us to develop the additional trainings that we're adding to our catalog.
Agencies also work with us to do agency-specific training, so that gives us a sense of where they're looking to train their employees.
Most of them are focused on, you know, some of them have supervisory training.
For the first part, they have a group of trainings that all supervisors must take.
And so we work with individual agencies based on what their needs are, whether they're looking to train only their employees or having more access to training on our, to different trainings on the platform.
