De La Rosa asks about Devin Kim's warnings on bioterrorism and rogue systems
De La Rosa asks whether SpaceX agrees that safe AI requires identifying bioterrorism, AI-enabled cyber warfare, and rogue power-seeking risks and implementing mitigation; Castillo-Madrid says yes and describes training, red teaming, model cards, and ongoing monitoring.
Thank you.
Would you agree that, as Mr.
Kim warned, developing and maintaining safe AI involves identifying potential risks such as bioterrorism, AI-enabled
cyber warfare, and rogue power-seeking systems and implementing processes to avoid and mitigating these risks?
Yes, we train our models to ensure they don't assist with dangerous activity.
We evaluate them for misuse and attempts to get around safeguards and loss of control, and we monitor them after deployment.
I also mentioned specifically for chemical and biological risks, we test with expert evaluations and red teaming before release, and we publish all these results in our model cards.
