Gutiérrez asks about profiling users and reporting violence
Gutiérrez asks whether SpaceX can determine from prompts and searches when a user intends violence and what the process is for communicating with local authorities; Castillo-Madrid says SpaceX uses AI and human monitoring to catch bad actors and reports through NCMEC and law enforcement.
I have a couple more questions just related to personal data.
One is specifically, can your company know or do they have reason to know that any user is intending to perpetuate violence in any way?
My understanding is that your company can profile users based on different prompts, searches.
Can you share if there is any way for your company using those same mechanisms, can you determine when a user...
Wants to perpetuate violence in any way.
Yeah, like I mentioned before, we want to catch the bad actors.
And we have a combination of AI and human monitoring to make sure that we're getting those bad actors off our platform and hopefully into the authorities when necessary.
And can you share what is the process for communicating to local authorities?
We have a law enforcement, the way that people can sort of report.
I can give you more specifics after, but anybody can report and we'll take very seriously all the reports.
Is there reporting just calling 911?
I meant on the platforms.
Obviously, anybody is free to call the authorities in that regard.
But, for example, with CSAM, we work with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and we make reports to them.
And then they have authorities from different law enforcement agencies across the country, federal and local, and they are in charge of following through and making arrests when necessary.
Okay.
