Menin asks Kim about third-party validation and Grok sexualized images
Menin asks whether XAI uses outside third-party validators free of conflicts; Kim says not to his knowledge. Menin then describes finding a highly sexualized image of herself on regular Grok within 30 seconds and asks why SpaceX AI continues to allow it; Kim says he cannot speak to current standards but was told tasteful nudity was acceptable.
Two more questions.
Is the company currently, to your knowledge, validating the models with outside third-party validators who are free from conflict of interest?
Not to my knowledge.
And lastly, I don't know if you heard the earlier part of the questioning, but I pointed out that within 30 seconds this morning, I was able to ask Rock to do a sexualized image of myself, and there was a...
Uber sexualized image of myself under my official portrait.
And I question Ms.
Castillo-Madrid about why is this continued to be allowed by Grok?
This idea that within seconds,
These images and this was this was in just the regular grok free app not even the spicy mode This was just regular grok within less than 30 seconds an image
That if my daughter saw would be horrified if other and this is just something that's readily available Why do you think that space XAI is continuing to allow this to happen?
Well, I wouldn't be able to speak to the standards today.
However, the standards and directive that
were shared with us when I was an employee was that a tasteful nudity is acceptable and is the goal.
I now will note that, you know, the tasteful is subjective and there was no clear person designated as to what the line should be there.
The issue that I have with that is there was nothing tasteful about the image that we found.
And in fact, you could easily ask Rock to make it more sexualized.
And so that was a prompt that Rock accepted.
And we had successive images, each of which would become more sexualized, more offensive.
So this idea that it was like tasteful nudity or tasteful is just, you know, preposterous.
