Menin closes SpaceX testimony and demands missing answers
Menin thanks Castillo-Madrid but says many questions went unanswered and expects the information later, reiterates the goal is not to stifle innovation but to address safety, and says she is deeply disappointed by the lack of transparency around Devin Kim's firing.
Okay, does any other council member have more questions?
Okay, we thank you for your testimony today.
We obviously have a tremendous amount of remaining questions.
I think a lot of the questions you did not answer, and so we are expecting that you will provide that information that you did not provide.
Again, it is...
Our goal, again, is not to stifle innovation, not to support the incredible medical and scientific breakthroughs of AI,
but to ensure the public that these serious safety concerns that have repeatedly been raised in recent months are being addressed and are being addressed in a thoughtful way.
Way which we strongly believe our legislation, particularly the third party validation free of any conflict of interest, would help to assure the public.
In addition, I want to say I'm deeply disappointed by the comments about Devin Kim because it is very clear there are numerous articles out there that
about his firing and the lack of answers and transparency about that are incredibly concerning.
Thank you, Madam Speaker.
Okay, thank you.
