Menin details finding sexualized image in 30 seconds on regular Grok
Menin says she found a sexualized image of herself in under 30 seconds on regular Grok, not spicy mode, and that successive prompts made it more sexualized; Castillo-Madrid apologizes and says Grok's policies prohibit such use, but Menin calls it unacceptable.
Yeah, and I just want to build on that.
Thank you, Chair.
Like literally within 30 seconds, and that was not even on the spicy mode.
This was on regular grok.
We literally asked regular grok to pull up a sexualized image, and a sexualized image comes up.
That is available for all to see, for my daughter to see, for anyone to see.
I just don't understand how you can say that there are these safety monitors when clearly it was less than 30 seconds to just pull up this image.
All I can say is Grok has strict controls in place to prevent the sexualization of children and real people.
I do apologize that you had to go through that.
And like I said, I don't think anybody should be put in that position.
Our policies prohibit it for that reason.
It's not that I had to go through it.
I literally just asked Rock to pull up the image and it came up.
I mean, this is now, it's not just about for elected officials, it's for anyone.
So it's just unacceptable.
