Menin says no federal AI regulation exists
Menin says there is no federal AI regulation, no independent federal agency validating safety models, and no law on the books; Castillo-Madrid says SpaceX is open to working with policymakers and abides by regulatory requirements, and that what is illegal without superintelligence is illegal with it.
But don't you agree there's no national, there's no federal regulation of AI right now?
There's no law on the books that is regulating it.
There's no agency that is independent, federal agency that is in charge of validating the safety models.
None of that exists.
That is why we're open to working with policymakers to make sure that we find common sense, technically feasible solutions.
But we do abide by regulatory requirements and government oversight.
And what's illegal without superintelligence is also illegal with it.
