Dinowitz asks how parents can search for Seal schools online
Dinowitz searches the DOE website and says he cannot filter for schools offering the Seal of Civic Readiness or Seal of Biliteracy. Ryle says she will follow up on where the list of Seal schools is posted.
On your website, I'm a person, I want to search for a high school for my child.
On your website, how do I know whether a school offers the seal of civic readiness?
So I would need to double check.
We did share the list.
So we share the list of SEAL schools each year with the Office of Policy and Evaluation since they manage the inside.
Is it called?
What is the name of our portal again?
I'm blanking.
But I'll follow up with them and get that answer for you.
Well, I can, you know, because I can search.
Like I'm on the site right now.
You can't see my screen.
That's okay.
But I could search and I could filter by like interest areas.
I could filter by college and career paths.
I can search by...
10th grade admissions, uniform requirement.
I could search for a school that requires a uniform, that school.
But it doesn't appear as though I could search for a school that has, I think, either the seal of civic readiness or the seal of biliteracy.
