Farías follows up on community engagement and Civics Week
Farías says she has participated in Civics Week but wants more comprehensive understanding of city efforts. She asks to receive electoral comics and participate more broadly in March; Ryle agrees to share materials.
That's really great to hear.
I've participated with schools in my district for Civics Week, but I don't think I've comprehensively received an understanding on what the city is doing.
And I think that goes to this beat that we keep drumming of it's not getting into community, how active or proactive we're being on civic education in our school system particularly.
But, I mean, this is also more comprehensive involving community members, like our teachers, our community members that are staying after school.
They're heading our music program and after school program and dance club and all of those sorts of things that they're touching
based with students in different capacities during this time frame as well so I'd love to stay engaged on that I'd love to get whatever comic book is for specifically for the electoral yeah there's quite a few on voting side
this feels there's education pieces here too but I'd love to see some of the electoral stuff and be able to participate in March with you folks more broadly in my district if we can.
Excellent.
Thank you.
We'll definitely get you our registered comics and thank you for joining our schools during Civics Week.
