Q&A

Joseph asks about Seal promotion at high school open houses

New York City Council · Oct 20, 2026 · starts 1:42:12 · 28 sec

Joseph asks whether schools talk about the Seal at open houses and whether the old big book of schools still exists. Veve says the big book is gone and information is now on MySchools.

Rita C. Joseph

And the schools that, for example, I know it's high school season now at the open house.

Rita C. Joseph

Do schools talk about that civic seal, the seal at the open house?

Rita C. Joseph

I know they used to give out a big book.

Rita C. Joseph

Do you guys still give out that big book for kids to look through to pick out of school?

Cordelia Veve

I don't think that big book exists anymore.

Cordelia Veve

I think it's all transferred over to my schools, which I think brings up the point of why that information needs to be available through that digital portal.
