Farias welcomes testimony and urges community voice
Farias wants perspectives from residents, businesses, and advocates; the bill does not predetermine a location and should center affected communities.
As we hear testimony today, I welcome the perspectives of residents, business owners, advocates, and other stakeholders.
I also look forward to hearing from how we can strengthen this legislation to ensure
that the communities most affected have a voice in the process.
I'm proud to champion Intro 1032 because waterfront communities deserve thoughtful consideration, better connectivity, and opportunities for economic growth.
After four years of working to expand our city's ferry network, I know that we must continue asking where ferry service can go next and how our waterways can be better serve the people who live, work, and do business along them.
Thank you.
