New York City Council · Oct 20, 2026 · starts 2:17:07 · 40 sec

Maloney notes the seaplane base earns $300,000 while ferry exterior advertising could earn $2 million; Fredrickson says revenue is one piece and the focus is transportation options.

Virginia Maloney

I wanted to also touch on the revenue side one more time.

Virginia Maloney

So it's 300,000 citywide or just the seaport that's earning?

Anton Fredrickson

That's just from the seaplane base.

Virginia Maloney

That's just from the seaplane base.

Virginia Maloney

And, you know, in contrast, we were talking earlier about advertising on ferries, potentially being $2 million in revenue to have, you know, a boat painted, which would cause no harm, you know.

Anton Fredrickson

Yeah, I would say it's less about, although rampant generation is one piece, it's really about providing a diverse range of transportation options.

Anton Fredrickson

It's not solely focused on the, if you look at just the number, it's relatively small in your comparison.
