Esposito praises EMS members after a busy year of events
Esposito says EMS had an incredibly busy year with code blue cold periods, FIFA World Cup visitors, America 250 events, and the International Naval Review. He praises EMS members for professionalism and life-saving work and offers to take questions.
Before I conclude, I want to emphasize what a great job our members are doing despite this challenging environment.
This year was an incredibly busy year for EMS.
In addition to the regular demands of the 911 system, we operated in circumstances that included extended code blue cold periods,
millions of visitors for the FIFA World Cup, numerous activities and events for the America 250 celebration and the International Naval Review, and we are preparing now for the holiday tourist season.
Our EMS members have risen to the challenge time after time, conducting themselves with professionalism, saving lives, and serving their fellow New Yorkers and visitors alike.
I am proud of the effort they make every day, and I am proud of the great success that they achieve, even in these most challenging circumstances.
