Narcisse calls for long-term solutions and cites child driven to hospital
Narcisse says she is committed to finding long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes and recounts a family forced to drive their child to the hospital after a long ambulance wait. She says every resident deserves timely emergency care regardless of zip code, income, race, gender, immigration status, or background.
As chair of the Committee on Hospitals, I am committed to examining the many factors driving prolonged ambulance response times and identifying
meaningful long-term solutions rather than temporary fix.
Temporary fix is not going to help us in New York City.
New Yorkers deserve confidence that when they call for help during a medical emergency, and we know what took place recently.
They were waiting for so many minutes that the family forced to drive their own child to the hospital.
That should not happen.
Assistance will arrive as emergency assistance will arrive as quickly as possible.
Every resident, regardless of zip code, income, race, gender, immigration status or background, deserves timely access to emergency care.
