Gennaro responds to Ferrara on balancing enforcement and business concerns
Gennaro says the committee asks the questions but that he is trying to make the program fairer. He notes that environmental advocates are criticizing his bill, which he says shows the committee is trying to balance competing concerns.
I'm going to have to...
You know, it was a two-minute limit, and I wanted to give you a little latitude on that, which I did.
I was happy to do it.
And I appreciate your question.
You know, we don't answer questions.
We ask the questions.
But I...
I think the good people who are in the part of the anti-idling crusade,
you hear what they're saying about me and my bill.
And so I'm trying to do everything I can.
To make it fair.
And if they were lauding me and telling me how much of a great guy I was,
I think the fact that they're not is evidence of me and this committee and this council trying to bring this process
somehow make it fair and better and workable for everyone.
I mean, we wouldn't be here
today if I wasn't looking to make changes to the program.
So I appreciate your being here today.
We look forward to working with you.
And with that, I'm going to go on to the next witness, and members may have questions for you.
And okay, so that was, wait a minute, wait a minute.
Wait a minute.
So that was Joseph Ferrara.
And right.
And you are who?
