Chair Riley asks about engagement with council members and community boards
He asks if the administration plans to connect with council members and community boards; Garodnick says they notified council members, reached out to all community boards, and have trainings and a public info session.
So the administration plans to connect with council members, as you state, that you already have been doing, and the community board while doing this fast track?
Sure.
So when we announced the fast track, we also, as we gave notice to council members, we also reached out to every community board in the city, including those that were unaffected.
We have community board trainings happening right now, going through the fall, on a number of reforms, including the fast track.
And we also have a public information session in December to make sure that community boards, the public, are aware of the fast track.
I've also, as I've reached out to council members individually, have offered to also come out to do.
and understand what the opportunities are there.
