Chair Riley asks about timeline for transit-oriented development plan
He asks if there's a deadline for the TOD plan; Garodnick says they are in early stages and hope to start conversations with council early next year.
And just kind of piggybacking off the TLDs, is there a specific deadline that we can anticipate now that we'll see that plan?
Thank you for your question.
So we are in the early stages.
We hope to, you know, early next year start to have conversations with the council about our approach.
But we're still in the very early days of that planning.
All right.
And I just kind of the same thing as Council Member Sanchez also is saying, like the community-based train control.
The issue that we're seeing in my district, I know like on the weekends, the five train is extremely spotty.
So we might be considered as a vibrant TOD district, but the people that live there on a day-to-day, similar to what Councilman Thomas Henry stated, since I've been living in that district, every single weekend it's been a challenge with the five trains.
So just wanted to kind of understand the metrics behind the TOD design and for you to have that at your mind when you are completing this project or when you're going to be posing that to the council.
Appreciate that.
Thank you.
