Chair Riley asks if DCP will collaborate on council-led neighborhood rezonings
Garodnick says yes, they welcome it, and mentions Councilmembers Santosuosso and Hanks looking at opportunities.
Okay.
The City's Council Planning and Land Use Division has begun working with council members in the fast-track areas to understand development potential.
In some cases, council members and community boards may decide to propose ideas for neighborhood rezonance as a preferred way to add new development alongside community engagement and city investment in infrastructure and services.
Is DCP open to working collaboratively with council members and communities on this approach?
Yes, we welcome that.
And I know that Councilmember San Soso and a number of other council members have started to look at those types of opportunities, Councilmember Hanks, as well as opportunities in their community.
So we look forward to that.
We look forward to learning more details.
And we're happy to work proactively together.
