Chair Riley asks for definition of large-scale rezoning
Garodnick says typical neighborhood rezoning was 10,000-14,000 units, with examples like Bronx Metro North (7,000) and Atlantic Avenue (5,000), and investments aligned with growth.
What is a large scale?
Can you say for the record?
What would that be considered?
There's a range.
I mean, in the last administration, a typical neighborhood rezoning was anywhere from 10,000 to 14,000 new units of housing.
But we also have examples like Bronx Metro North, which was 7,000 units, right, along the corridor.
So, or Atlantic Avenue, which was around 5,000.
So there's a range depending on the study area.
But E.
Each of those projects came with investments that were aligned with the level of growth.
