Sanchez asks about course languages and whether training is free
Sanchez asks whether SST courses are available in multiple languages and whether they are generally free; Tigani says many providers offer multiple languages and DOB seeks more, and that while some courses are paid, SBS has long provided free programs often in partnership with worker rights and immigrant-serving organizations.
And the classes are available in multiple languages?
There are many providers who provide multiple languages, and we're always looking for more course providers to meet other edges of the space.
Got it.
And are the courses generally free, or this is just a case for the red code?
They're both.
So we have courses that are paid for courses, and then SBS, since the beginning,
196 has worked to provide free programs.
And I think a lot of them are also there through collaboration with worker rights organizations and organizations that work with immigrant communities that are mission driven, who understand that the price point can be hard.
Excellent.
Thank you.
Thank you, Commissioner.
Safety logs.
I've been waiting all hearing to ask you about these.
Everyone has.
This is why we're all here.
Very, very exciting.
