Kaban.
Permission to explain my vote?
Permission granted.
Thank you.
I want to start by asking to be associated with the remarks of my very wise and brilliant colleagues, Pierino Sanchez and Shirley Aldebar.
And I don't think there's much more to say than...
The council is taking a very important step towards preserving affordable housing for New Yorkers that need it the most.
We got a lesson in education, a thorough list of all of the things that make COPA what is needed in this moment to help tackle this crisis by my seatmate over here.
And so to put it as simply as possible, it's about taking.
Incredibly at-risk buildings and making sure, ensuring that they are safe, that they're healthy, and that they're affordable for years and years to come.
So thank you so, so much to my colleague, Councilmember Nurse, for leading the charge.
on this and navigating really difficult waters to get this over the finish line.
There are a lot of families that are going to benefit and be able to stay in their homes because of this legislation.
So I'm really proud to vote aye on COPA today, but also I'm voting aye on all.
Thank you.
Thank you.
