Q&A

Chair asks CLO assignments by borough; Dessimore details coverage

New York City Council · Oct 26, 2026 · starts 1:05:30 · 46 sec

Brooks-Powers asks how many court liaison officers are assigned to each borough and family court location. Dessimore lists coverage in the Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, including a hybrid CLO covering youth part and family court on Staten Island.

Stacey Dessimore

So I'm happy to say that we are staffing up in that area, and we have a total of 13.

Stacey Dessimore

There's eight for family court, and we are staffing up the youth part.

Stacey Dessimore

We have five, and we need a total of six, so we need one more for Manhattan.

Stacey Dessimore

We can use one more, though, for a family court in Queens and one more for a family court in the Bronx.

Selvena N. Brooks-Powers

We'll send the job postings to the committee members.

Selvena N. Brooks-Powers

We'll make sure we put them out also.

Selvena N. Brooks-Powers

And I guess you answered the next question, which is how many court liaison officers are assigned to each borough.

Selvena N. Brooks-Powers

And family court location.

Stacey Dessimore

It's one for family court and one for youth part.
