Goodwin says DOP is reassessing programs and convening community providers
Goodwin says DOP is reviewing current programs and convening community-based organizations to discuss availability and capacity. She says DOP may help providers extend resources so they can serve more people.
How are the programs aligned?
You are doing what you can, but I don't know if you can make sure that every kind of program that's needed is available.
I mean, I know, for instance, I have a friend whose daughter is mentally ill.
She got arrested, tried to kill her mother and her brother.
And, you know, it's hard.
There aren't a lot of programs to fit her.
We spent two days, the two of us, calling around.
We found one that might work, et cetera.
So how do we need other kinds of programs?
