Gaston concludes administration testimony with thanks
Gaston concludes by thanking the City Council, City Hall colleagues, ACS teams, and partners. She says much work remains to reduce the detention census and improve care, and thanks the young people in ACS custody.
In conclusion, I want to thank the City Council.
My City Hall colleagues, the teams working with my panelists and the ACS team for their ongoing commitment to young people.
While much work remains to be done,
both to reduce the detention census and strengthen the conditions of care, I remain very moved by the deep passion and commitment I see each and every day as I visit Crossroads and Horizon.
Please know to our teams,
and our partners, I see you and all the work that you do to enhance the safety, security, and well-being of all of the young people in our care.
And to the young people in our custody, please know that there are countless people committed to you and to helping you thrive.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for your testimony.
I'm actually going to do something I typically don't do, which is allow my colleagues to go first because we have a number of folks who are here and I want to make sure that questions get asked.
So I'm going to start with our public advocate.
You can go second.
Oh, councilman.
Yep.
