Chair asks about reporting process
Won asks whether vendors self-report or OCH inspects and collects data. Harry says construction uses digital certified payroll reports, while non-construction data comes from referral sources and vendors, with a digital tool being implemented.
So for all these contracts, what is the process for reporting?
Are they self-reporting back to you, or are you going and inspecting and collecting data?
How is this working?
So we are early on in the process of having these contracts, but we are able to collect this information digitally, right?
And so on construction contracts, we have a digital tool that contractors on construction are required to submit certified payroll reports.
That's state law.
We've digitized that process, and we are collecting information from those certified payroll reports, and we are able to use that information in addition to tracking all of the prevailing wage requirements and things like that.
to track community hiring.
We are still ramping up the implementation of this tool, and so we anticipate that more and more contracts will be using it, will increase our reporting for community hiring as well.
That's on the construction side.
For the non-construction contracts, there's a couple different ways that we're able to collect that information.
We can work and are working directly with the referral sources who have that data.
And sharing it with us, we are able to collect information directly from the vendors themselves.
And we are also in the process of implementing a digital tool to collect that information and share information across the various agencies to streamline some of the data collection and reporting to try to minimize
the burden on vendors, on our referral sources and agency partners.
That process is underway and putting into that digital tool so we can collect that information and report.
