Chair asks to quantify; Harry says exceeding goal
Won asks Harry to quantify the 1,229% figure. Harry says the vendor is exceeding its goal because goals are formula-based and hiring needs vary; he does not have exact math on the spot.
So the goals are based on the contract value for those types of contracts.
And we did confirm those numbers.
They are just hiring many, many people.
And so we're proud that those vendors have been able to help.
So can you quantify many, many, many?
What is many, many, many that it comes out to be?
1,229%.
I forget the...
I don't have the exact math, and forgive me, I can't do the math on the spot right here.
However, across all of the contracts, you have about 1,200 community hires employed to date.
For those contracts, the non-construction contracts, it's a little over 1,100.
If 31.
Was the goal on that?
You know, maybe a couple hundred folks have been hired on that, but don't quote me on the exact math there.
Okay, because the contract amount is $15,685,874, and the hiring goal was 31, and the community hiring goal percentage progress is 1,229%.
So.
They are exceeding their goal.
And that's because they just have, based on the, and again, the way that community hiring works is we set the goal based on a formula, essentially.
But we know that the way that employers hire is not necessarily rooted based on some contract value formula.
It's rooted on based on their needs.
So that employer had a higher need.
We're glad they were able to work with the public workforce system to hire community hires for those jobs.
