Harry explains Jobs NYC Center focus and SBS routing
Harry says the new Jobs NYC Center focuses on city jobs, while community hiring is for non-city contracted vendors. He says SBS staffs the site and can route people to Workforce One services.
I think I lost it.
So specifically as it relates to community hiring, that new Jobs NYC Center is focused primarily on city jobs, and the nature of community hiring is non-city jobs because these are city contracted vendors.
And so in terms of community hiring direct services happening at that site, it's not designed to do that.
However, SBS, who is staffing that site, and we're happy to work with you, council member, or get that information back from SBS in terms of the details on how many people there, the exact hours, et cetera.
But again, that is geared towards city jobs, whereas community hiring is non-city jobs.
However, because it is...
Run by SBS, then they operate the Workforce One system.
For people who are entering, looking for job opportunities, I believe SBS is able to help route them to back through the Workforce One Center and then
make sure that the job opportunities or training opportunities that people might be interested in, whether it's city or not, they can get connected to those services as well.
