Banks asks how DFTA coordinates with NYCHA on infrastructure concerns
Banks asks if DFTA evaluates infrastructure concerns at NYCHA and coordinates with NYCHA. Trimble says staff meet every two weeks to review open repair requests using a shared tracker. Most repairs come through the CCC; NYCHA assesses and determines responsibility.
Is DIFTA evaluating the infrastructure concerns to NITRA and coordinating with NITRA on these issues?
And what does that coordination look like?
I can start if you want.
So we, as I said, we meet regularly to go through open repair requests.
Our staff meet every two weeks.
We have a shared tracker that we're using to follow up on certain repair requests.
They said most of the repairs come in through our CCC.
We'll send a maintenance worker to assess.
We'll determine whether we think it's our responsibility or the provider.
If it goes back to the provider, they may reach out to aging for help or escalation.
That may come back to us, and we can take another look.
But for the most part, if it's anything that is a major system improvement or something from the building envelope, like I said, the roof or the facade or a major piping, then NYCHA will take care of it.
Okay.
