Banks asks if providers can make repairs and seek reimbursement
Banks asks if a provider could make a repair proactively and seek reimbursement. McKenzie says it depends on the type of repair and additional funding sometimes allows NYC Aging to move forward. She says when sites shutter, NYC Aging ensures older adults have alternatives, including transportation to nearby sites.
Could a provider make the repair or seek reimbursement if they needed to go ahead proactively and repair?
I would say it depends on the type of repair.
And as you know, as I just mentioned about the projects that we've completed, sometimes there is additional funding that comes in that allows us to be able to move forward with a repair.
And then, you know, we'll work together with NYCHA to be able to remove that from their listing.
But I also want to just mention, when we do have to shutter one of the sites, we make sure immediately that our older adults do have alternatives.
You know, they're not missing out on meals or programs that we will help them, even by providing transportation to nearby sites so that they do have programming that's available to them.
Okay.
And my last question before I turn it back over to Chiz Wong.
