Banks asks how many times OACs shuttered due to unsafe infrastructure
Banks asks how many times over the past year or five years an OAC was shuttered due to unsafe infrastructure. Trimble cites three examples: Glebe, Latimer, and Randall Avenue. She says Haber Center in Coney Island closed during Sandy and is still working on reopening, now needing a place of assembly permit.
Well, how many times over the past year or the past five years has the solution been to shutter OAC due to unsafe infrastructure concerns?
I have just those three examples, Glebe, Latimer, and Randall Avenue.
Okay, if an OAC is closed, how long on average does it take to reopen?
It really depends, again, on the conditions.
Like Haber Center in Coney Island got closed down during Sandy, and we're still working on opening that.
We're on the last piece right now, which is the place of assembly permit.
So, you know, that one is obviously a very extreme example.
Glebe Avenue was closed down due to significant leak and mold conditions.
Luckily, that is going through the PAC program, and we'll receive comprehensive modernization, and we'll be able to reopen.
Just like we were able to reopen Edenwald after 25 years thanks to the POC program.
Congrats on that, yeah.
