Banks asks what instructions DFTA and NYCHA give OAC staff on repairs
Banks asks what instructions DFTA and NYCHA provide to OAC staff about which repairs each agency handles. McKenzie says they meet regularly and review open tickets to determine whether NYCHA or DFTA should handle an issue. She mentions 56 completed projects and says some open tickets may have been resolved by capital improvements.
What instructions does DFTA and NYCHA provide to the OAC staff on which kinds of repairs or facility requests are handled by each respective agency?
Well, as I mentioned earlier, we do meet quite regularly and we look at the open tickets.
And as we're looking at those open tickets, we can determine whether there's something that, again, NYCHA would have to take on or if there's something that in looking at the list, it's so minor that DFTA might be able to take a look at it and see what we can do.
I also want to mention and go back to my previous testimony about the 56 projects that we just completed.
So our last meeting a couple weeks ago was that we wanted to take a look at some of those open tickets and determine whether or not some of them have also been resolved by these major capital improvements that we've made over the last year.
So there may be a further reduction on those tickets that are outstanding.
