Lynch concludes older adults deserve basics and peace of mind
Lynch says older adults have given much to their families and communities and should enjoy their centers without worrying about building conditions. She says aging in place requires caring for the places they depend on. She thanks the committee for the opportunity to speak.
Our older adults have already given so much of their families and communities.
They should be able to come to their center, sit with their friends, enjoy a meal, take part in activity, feel comfortable without worrying about the conditions of the building that they are in.
They deserve that peace of mind.
We also talk about aging in place, helping our older adults remain independent and improving their quality of life.
We also need to make sure that the places they depend on are being cared for.
Because at the end of the day, our older adults should not have to ask for the basics.
They have earned the right to expect them.
Thank you for listening and giving me the opportunity to speak today.
Thank you.
