Sarah Morgage introduces Riverstone Senior Life Services
Sarah Morgage testifies as a board member of Riverstone Senior Life Services. She notes she previously worked for Councilmember Robert Jackson and now works at Literacy and Community. She describes Riverstone's location in Washington Heights and its engaging older adult programming.
Thank you.
And good morning.
Thank you for the opportunity to present testimony today.
My name is Sarah Morgage, and I'm speaking as a board member of Riverstone Senior Life Services.
Some of you may already know me as a staff member to Robert Jackson for the 12 years he served as a council member.
I currently work as the Senior Manager for Advancement at Literacy and Community, or LINK, where we provide early literacy programming for families with children from birth through five years, so kind of the opposite end of life's bell curve.
Link is the backbone partner for Cities First Readers, the Council's only early literacy initiative.
Full disclosure, several members of these committees support Link, and that funding is deeply appreciated.
