Zhuang asks about long-term vision for OACs in NYCHA property
Zhuang asks about the administration's long-term vision for OACs in NYCHA property and how it aligns with supporting the aging population. McKenzie says there is a strong commitment to support older adults and help them live with dignity and respect. She says OACs should be welcoming, safe, and functional.
What is administration's long-term vision for OAC's nature property, and how does it align with broader effort to support NYC aging population?
Well, I know that there's a very strong commitment from the administration to support older adults, to make sure that they're living their best possible life here in New York City,
and to provide the supports necessary for them to be able to thrive and live with dignity and respect.
So that's what we expect at each one of the older adult centers that we're operating, that our older adults find them welcoming places where they can come and really enjoy the services there in a safe, functional environment.
