Zhuang asks if leaks are emergency or capital repairs
Zhuang follows up asking whether leaks are emergency funding or regular capital. Trimble says it depends. Most leaks are repairs NYCHA will respond to, especially leaks from above in piping or roof. Leaks inside the center, like under a sink, are the provider's responsibility.
I have a follow-up question.
For leaking, it's emergency funding or it's a regular capital?
It depends.
So for the most part, a leak is a repair that we will respond to and make.
Again, especially if the leak is caused from a leak from above in our piping system, in our plumbing system, or a leak from our roof, that is something we will respond to and repair.
If it's a leak that's within the center, like under the sink type leak, then the provider would get a plumber to fix that leak.
Okay, thank you.
Next we have Council Member Brewer and followed by Council Member Rissler.
