Q&A

Zhuang asks if OAC feedback is shared with NYCHA and examples of improvement

New York City Council · Oct 27, 2026 · starts 2:08:19 · 1 min 6 sec

Zhuang asks if feedback from NYCHA and OACs is shared with NYCHA. McKenzie says yes, at senior leadership meetings they discuss issues impacting OACs and ways to improve. She gives examples: 88% of escalated issues resolved, some faster than 12.8 days, and collaboration on capital projects.

Susan Zhuang

Is the feedback shared with NITRA?

Lisa Scott McKenzie

Yes.

Lisa Scott McKenzie

At our meeting where we meet with the senior leaders, we speak about issues that impact the OACs and also ways that we can improve and enhance our services together.

Susan Zhuang

Is there any issue or example you can give to us after you get the feedback from the OACs and communicate with NITRA and any improvement?

Lisa Scott McKenzie

I can give you two.

Lisa Scott McKenzie

One is where I mentioned that we've resolved 88% of the issues that we've escalated to NITRA and that those issues have been resolved, some of them even earlier than the 12.8 days that it typically takes to improve something.

Lisa Scott McKenzie

And then also...

Lisa Scott McKenzie

And the fact that we've been able to look at issues together, we have been able to look at capital projects where perhaps there's a portion of the project that we might be able to affect the repair.

Lisa Scott McKenzie

So we feel in this collaboration, in this enhanced relationship that we have, it not only presents opportunities, but it's also helping us to provide better services.

Susan Zhuang

Okay.
